date of coming into force of the tamil Nadu marine fishing regulation

(amendment) Act, 2016.

In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (2) of Section 1 of the Tamil Nadu Marine Fishing

Regulation (Amendment) Act, 2016 (Tamil Nadu Act 18 of 2017), the Governor of Tamil Nadu hereby appoints

the 17th day of February 2020, as the date on which the said Act, except clause (5) of Section 3 in so far as

it relates to the definition of the term "mechanized fishing vessel" and clause (1) of Section 5 which already

came into force on the 14th June 2018, shall come into force.
