In exercise of the powers conferred by clause (a) of sub-rule (1) of rule 3 of the Tamil Nadu Waqf Board (Conduct of

Election for Members) Rules, 1997, the Governor of Tamil Nadu hereby appoints Dr. Chandra Mohan.  B, I.A.S., Principal

Secretary to Government, Backward Classes, Most Backward Classes and Minorities Welfare Department, Chennai-600 009,

as Election Authority for the purpose of conducting election of Members of the Tamil Nadu Waqf Board as specified in clause

(b) of sub-section (1) of Section 14 of the Waqf Act, 1995 (Central Act 43 of 1995)

to Government, Backward Classes, Most Backward Classes and Minorities Welfare Department, Chennai-600 009, as Returning

Officer for the purpose of conducting election of Members of the Tamil Nadu Waqf Board as specified in clause (b) of

sub-section (1) of Section 14 of the Waqf Act, 1995 (Central Act 43 of 1995)
