CATEGORY OF MUTAWALLIS UNDER THE WAQF ACT, 1995.

In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-clause (iv) of clause (b) of sub-section (1) and

powers conferred by sub-section (9) of section 14 of the Waqf Act, 1995 (Central Act 43 of 1995),

the Governor of Tamil Nadu hereby appoints the following persons as members of Tamil Nadu

Waqf Board, subject to further orders of the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India and the outcome of

the Special Leave Petition fi led by the Government of Tamil Nadu (Diary No.17419/2020) against

the orders of the High Court of Madras in W.P. Nos.726/2020, 8377/2020 and 9557/2020 in the

Supreme Court of India namely:-
