Amendment to the Special Rules for the Tamil Nadu General Service.

In exercise of the powers conferred by the proviso to Article 309 of the Constitution of India, the Governor

of Tamil Nadu hereby makes the following amendment to the Special Rules for the Tamil Nadu General Service

(Section 16 in Volume II of the Tamil Nadu Services Manual, 2016).

2. The amendment hereby made shall be deemed to have come into force on the 9th May, 2017.

AMENDMENT.

In the said Special Rules, in Part-II, in Class LXXIX, in rule 5, sub-rule (b) in the TABLE, for the expression

"(3) Profi ciency in English and Tamil languages" in column (3) against the Category "2. Tourist Offi cer" in column

(1) and the Methord "(1) Direct recruitment" in column (2) thereof, the following expression shall be substituted,

namely:-

" (3) Profi ciency in English and Tamil Languages i.e., must have passed both the Tamil and English as one

of the subject at Degree level".
