AMENDMENTS TO THE TAMIL NADU PREVENTION OF ILLEGAL MINING, TRANSPORTATION AND

STORAGE OF MINERALS AND MINERAL DEALERS RULES, 2011

In exercise of the powers conferred by Sub-Section (1) and (2) of Section 23-C of the Mines and Minerals

(Development and Regulation) Act, 1957 (Central Act 67 of 1957), the Governor of Tamil Nadu hereby makes

the following amendments to the Tamil Nadu Prevention of Illegal Mining, Transportation and Storage of Minerals

and Mineral Dealers Rules, 2011.

Aඕඍඖඌඕඍඖගඛ

In the said rules, -

(1)

in rule 4, in sub-rule (1), for the expression “Rs.5000/- (Rupees fi ve thousand only)”, the expression

“Rs.10000/- (Rupees ten thousand only)” shall be substituted;

(2)

in rule 5, in sub rule (3), -

(i) in clause (b), for the expression “Rs.5000/- (Rupees fi ve thousands only)”, the expression

“Rs.10000/- (Rupees ten thousand only)” shall be substituted;

(ii) in clause (c), for the expression “fi ve years”, the expression “ten years” shall be substituted.
