3 of the Prisons Act, 1894 (Central Act IX of 1894),

the Governor of Tamil Nadu hereby orders that the

premises of District Jail, Srivaikundam shall cease to

be a District Jail.

deﬁ ned for Tirunelveli District bifurcating the said District

into Tirunelveli and Tenkasi Districts re-organisation of Police

Stations and Sub-Divisions is required to make Police District

conterminous with Revenue Jurisdiction. Hence, under clause

(s) of Section 2 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973

(Central Act 2 of 1974), the Governor of Tamil Nadu hereby

declares that with eﬀ ect on and from the 30th December 2020,

the areas speciﬁ ed in column (3) of the schedule below shall

cease to form part of the local area of the Police Stations

Whereas, complaints have been received from a number

of depositors that Messers Viswapriya Financial Services

and Securities Limited, Chennai, a ﬁ nancial establishment,

has defaulted the return of deposits made by the depositors

after maturity;

And whereas, the said ﬁ nancial establishment altered

its name to Messers Viswapriya India Limited, on 2-6-2011

with CIN No. U65991TN1991PLC020796.

And Whereas, the Government are satisﬁ ed that the said

ﬁ nancial establishment is not likely to return the deposits to

the depositors and hence, the Government have to protect

the interests of such depositors;

And Whereas, the movable properties speciﬁ ed in the

Schedule to this order are alleged to have been procured

by the said ﬁ nancial establishment from and out of the

deposits collected from the depositors;

Now, Therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred

by section 3 of the Tamil Nadu Protection of Interests

of Depositors (in Financial Establishments) Act, 1997

(Tamil Nadu Act 44 of 1997), the Governor of Tamil Nadu

hereby makes an ad-interim order attaching the movable

properties of Messers Viswapriya India Limited, No.75 C,

2nd Main Road, Gandhi Nagar, Adayar, Chennai-20, standing

in the name of Thiru.T.S. Raghavan as speciﬁ ed in the

Schedule to this order and transfers the control over the

said movable properties to the Competent Authority, namely,

the competent Authority and District Revenue Oﬃ cer, Chennai

District appointed under the said Act.

2) The Competent Authority and District Revenue Oﬃ cer,

Chennai District is requested to pursue further action in

accordance with the procedure laid down in sub-sections

(3) and (4) of Section 4 of the said Act and also the

formalities prescribed in the Tamil Nadu Protection of Interests

of Depositors (in Financial Establishments) Rules, 1997.

3) The Special Public Prosecutor, Special Court for the

Tamil Nadu Protection of Interests of Depositors (in Financial

Establishments) Act, 1997 Chennai, is requested to render

necessary assistance to the Competent Authority and District

Revenue Oﬃ cer, Chennai District for ﬁ lling the application

before the Special Court constituted under the said Act.
