Amendments to the Special Rules for the Tamil Nadu Engineering Service

No. SRO B-14/2021.— In exercise of the powers conferred by the proviso to Article 309 of the Constitution of India,

the Governor of Tamil Nadu hereby makes the following amendments to the Special Rules for the Tamil Nadu Engineering

Service (Section 10 in Volume II of the Tamil Nadu Services Manual 2016).

In the said Special Rules, in Part-II, under "Branch I - Public Works," in the Table under Rule 5, -

(i)

for the existing entries in item (2) under the heading 'Qualification' in Column (3), against the

entry 'Assistant Engineer' in column (1) and the entry 'Direct Recruitment' in column (2) thereof, the following

entries shall be substituted, namely:-

"(2) Must have passed in Sections A and B of the Institution Examinations under Civil Engineering Branch.";

and

(ii)

for the existing entries in item (2) under the heading 'Qualifi cation' in column (3), agianst the entry 'Asssistant

Engineer' in column (1), and the entry 'Recruitment by transfer' in column (2) thereof, the following entries shall

be substituted, namely:-

"(2) Must have passed in Sections A and B of the Institution Examinations under Civil Engineering Branch.".
