Notice is hereby given that the Sessions and Civil Courts in Combined Vellore District (Vellore, Ranipet and Tirupattur)

will be closed for the Vacation and Holidays for 2021 as follows:

(CIVIL COURTS)

The Principal District and Sessions Court, Vellore District, Vellore, the Additional District and Sessions Court, Vellore,

Ranipet, Tirupattur and the Subordinate Judges Court, Vellore, Ranipet, Arakkonam, Gudiyatham, Vaniyambadi, Tirupattur.

The Court of the District Munsif’s of Vellore, Sholinghur, Arakkonam, Gudiyatham, Katpadi, Ambur, Vaniyambadi, Tirupattur

2. THE HOLIDAYS FOR ALL THE SUBORDINATE COURTS IN THE STATE OF TAMIL NADU

(a) All Sundays are holidays for all the Subordinate Courts including Family Courts functioning in the State of

Tamil Nadu.

(b) The following 10 Saturdays are working days for all the Subordinate Courts including Family Courts functioning

in the State of Tamil Nadu.

23-01-2021, 06-03-2021, 17-04-2021, 05-06-2021,

03-07-2021, 07-08-2021, 04-09-2021, 23-10-2021,

20-11-2021 and 04-12-2021.

(d) All the Family Courts functioning in the State of Tamil Nadu shall work on 1st and 3rd Saturdays of every

month except those Saturdays which are declared as Public Holidays. All other Saturdays are declared as holidays, except

Note:- As Uzhavar Thirunal (16-01-2021), Mahaveer Jayanthi (25-04-2021), May Day (01-05-2021), Independence Day

(15-08-2021), Gandhi Jayanthi (02-10-2021) and Christmas (25-12-2021) fall on Saturdays / Sundays, these days are

not shown in the above list.

No plaints or petitions except applications for grant of copies and for service and execution of processes will be

received by the Courts during the vacation.

The Oﬃ ce of the Copyist, Process Service and Execution Department will be kept open throughout the vacation

but no arrest warrants will be issued during the vaction will be executed.

The Oﬃ ce of other departments will remain closed. Arrangement will however be made.

for transmitting records in appeals ete., to the High Court.

iii. for furnishing the Copyist and Process Service Department with necessary records and original orders.

Urgent applications for bail during the Sessions Judge from the Division during the Recess should be made to

the High Court of Judicature, Madras.

Appeals of urgent nature that lie to the District Court, shall during the adjournment, be presented to the High

Court of Judicature, Madras.

In case of vacation Civil Judge is appointed by the Government for the Combined Vellore District (Vellore,

Ranipet and Tirupattur) under Section 30 of the Tamil Nadu Civil Courts Act (Central Act III of 1873) as amended by

Section 4 of the Madras Act No.XVII of 1959 suits and appeals and other proceedings will be received and disposed

of by him in terms of Section 30 and the Rules framed in this behalf.

In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (4) of Section 32 of the Tamil Nadu Town and Country Planning

Act 1971 (Tamil Nadu Act 35 of 1972) and in exercise of powers conferred by the G.O.Ms.No.94 Housing and Urban

Development [UD4(1)] Department dated 12-06-2009 which has been published in the Tamil Nadu Government Gazette

No.27, Part II—Section 2, Page No. 228, dated 15-07-2009 the following variations are made to the master plan for

the Coimbatore Local Planning Area approved under the said Act and published in the Housing and Urban Development

Department Notiﬁ cation No.II(2)/ Housing / 4377 /94 at Page 1078 of Part II—Section 2 of the Tamil Nadu Government

Gazette dated the 9th November 1994.
