AMENDMENTS TO THE LAW OFFICERS OF HIGH COURT OF MADRAS AND ITS BENCH AT MADURAI

(APPOINTMENT) RULES, 2017.

The following amendments are made to the Law Offi cers of High Court of Madras and its Bench at Madurai (Apppointment)

Rules, 2017:-

2. The amendments hereby made shall come into force on 9th July, 2021.

In the said Rules:-

(1) in rule 4, in clause (i),-

(a) after sub-clause (f), the following Explanation shall be inserted:

“Explanation:

The minimum practice in the High Court can be established through a letter from a Senior of 25 years experience or from

a recognized Bar or Advocates Association of the High Court”;

(b) sub-clause (g) shall be omitted;

(c) sub-clause (h), (i), (j) and (k) shall be omitted;

(2) in Annexure - I, in the Form, paras 24 and 27 and the entries there under shall be omitted;

(3) Annexure - II shall be omitted.
