PUBLICATION – ELECTORAL ROLLS - PREPARATION - NOTIFICATION ISSUED.]

In exercise of the powers conferred under rule 11, 14, 18 and 20 of the Tamil Nadu Panchayats (Elections) Rules, 1995 and

in supersession of the Notiﬁ cation No. VI(2)/10(a)/2020, Published at Part VI – Section 2 of the Tamil Nadu Government Gazette

Extraordinary No.112, Dated March 12, 2020, at pages 1-5, the Tamil Nadu State Election Commission hereby directs that,-

the Polling Stations for the purpose of conducting poll under the said Rules shall be provided in the manner

prescribed in the Instructions - 2021 issued in the form of Handbook titled @ifnaL – 1, th¡F¢rhtofŸ mik¤jš

k‰W« th¡fhs® g£oaš jahç¤jY¡fhd m¿ÎiufŸ@;

the approved list of Polling Stations shall be published by the Returning Oﬃ cer at the following places namely:-

(i)

Oﬃ ce of the District Election Oﬃ cer,

(ii)

Oﬃ ce of the District Panchayat,

(iii) Oﬃ ce of the Block Development Oﬃ cer,

(iv) Oﬃ ce of the Village Panchayat, and

(v) such other places as the Returning Oﬃ cer may consider necessary;

the title, specimen of the details and layout of the polling station, specimen and other particulars of the

electoral roll and specimen of the certiﬁ cate to be given by the Panchayat Electoral Registration Oﬃ cer concerned

at the end of each part shall be as indicated in the Annexure I, II, III and IV respectively appended to this

notiﬁ cation ;

the electoral roll to be published shall be prepared and printed in the language of Tamil and in addition, the

languages in which the electoral roll of Assembly Constituencies is prepared and published;

next to the title page, every part of the electoral roll shall have the route map, front elevation of the building

of the polling station, front elevation of the polling station room and sketch of arrangement of the polling station room;

the electoral roll to be published shall be printed as directed by the Tamil Nadu State Election Commission

and the number of copies to be printed shall be as indicated in the Annexure V appended to this notiﬁ cation; and

two copies of the electoral roll shall be supplied free of cost to the recognised political parties as notiﬁ ed by

this Commission, from time to time.
