2. Union Public Service Commission, vide

Letter No. 7/18(3)/2019-AIS dated 03-08-2021,

has approved the recommendations of the Review

Selection Committee which met on 28-06-2021 to

reconsider the name of Smt. V. Vanitha for inclusion in

the Select List of 2001 for appointment by promotion to

Tamil Nadu Cadre of IPS in pursuance of Order dated

26-08-2020 of Hon'ble CAT, Madras Bench in

O.A. No. 310/00388/2020.

3. In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-rule (1)

of rule 9 of the Indian Police Service (Recruitment) Rules,

1954, read with sub-regulation (1) of regulation 9 of the

Indian Police Service (Appointment by Promotion) Regulations,

1955, the President is pleased to re-appoint Smt. V. Vanitha

(D.O.B. 12-09-1964) (Oﬃ cers earlier appointed from Select

Lists 2005) to the Indian Police Service of Tamil Nadu Cadre

against the Select Lists of 2001 with all consequential beneﬁ ts.

4. The appointment of Smt. V. Vanitha is eﬀ ective from

the date of appointment of his immediate junior namely

Shri V. Varadharaju i.e 21-05-2003.

5. This issues in addition to this Ministry's Notiﬁ cation

No. I-14011/18/2007-IPS.I (II) dt.14-03-2008.
