NOTIFICATIONS BY THE ELECTION COMMISSION OF INDIA

APPOINTMENT OF RETURNING OFFICER AND ASSISTANT RETURNING OFFICER FOR TWO

SEPARATE BYE-ELECTIONS TO THE COUNCIL OF STATES

No. SRO G-34/2021.

The following Notifi cation of the Election Commission of India, New Delhi, dated 15th September, 2021 [Bhadrapada 24,

1943 (Saka)] is republished:-

No. 100/CS-TN/06-07/2021 (2):- In pursuance of Section 21, and in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of

Section 22 of the Representation of the People Act, 1951 (43 of 1951), the Election Commission of India, in consultation with the

Government of the State of Tamil Nadu, hereby-

(i)

designates the offi cer, specifi ed in column (1) of the TABLE below, to be the Returning Offi cer; and

(ii)

appoints the offi cer, specifi ed in column (2) of the said TABLE, to be the Assistant Returning Offi cer to assist the

Returning Offi cer in the performance of his functions;

in respect of two separate bye-elections to the Council of States from Tamil Nadu, to be held in the State in pursuance of the

Commission’s Notifi cations published in the Gazette of India on 15th September, 2021:-
