By virtue of the power vested in me by Article 155 of the Constitution of India, I, Ram Nath Kovind, President

of India, hereby appoint Shri R.N. Ravi, to be the Governor of Tamil Nadu with effect from the date he assumes

charge of his office.

Given at Rashtrapati Bhavan, New Delhi, this ninth day of September in the year two thousand twenty-one

(18th Bhadrapada, 1943 Saka), in the seventy-second year of the Republic of India.

Whereas the President of India has appointed Thiru Banwarilal Purohit, Governor of Tamil Nadu as Governor

of Punjab and Administrator of Union Territory of Chandigarh and Whereas the President of India has appointed

Thiru R.N. Ravi as Governor of Tamil Nadu, in place of Thiru Banwarilal Purohit.

It is hereby notified that Thiru R.N. Ravi has assumed the Office of Governor of Tamil Nadu on the forenoon of

this, the eighteenth day of September, 2021.
