In exercise of the powers conferred by section 4 of the Tamil Nadu Manual Workers (Regulation of Employment

and Conditions of Work) Act, 1982 (Tamil Nadu Act 33 of 1982), the Governor of Tamil Nadu, after consultation with the

Advisory Committee hereby makes the following amendments to the Tamil Nadu Manual Workers (Construction Workers)

Welfare Scheme, 1994 as subsequently amended.

In the said Scheme,-

(1)

in clause 13, in sub-clause (1-A), for the expression “Rs.400/- (Rupees four hundred only)”, the expression

“Rs.500/- (Rupees ﬁ ve hundred only)”, shall be substituted;

(2)

in clause 14, in sub-clause (1), for the expression “a sum of Rs.2,000/- (Rupees two thousand only)”,

the expression “a sum of Rs.5,000/- (Rupees ﬁ ve thousand only)”, shall be substituted;

(3)

in clause 14A, in sub-clause (1), for the expression “a sum of Rs.15,000/- (Rupees ﬁ fteen thousand

only)”, the expression “a sum of Rs.20,000/- (Rupees twenty thousand only)” shall be substituted.

Advisory Committee hereby makes the following amendments to the Tamil Nadu Manual Workers Social Security and

Welfare Scheme, 2006 as subsequently amended.

the following amendment to the Labour and Employment Department Notiﬁ cation No.II(2)/LE/453(e-1)/2006, published at

pages 1 and 2 of Part II Section 2 of the Tamil Nadu Government Gazette, Extraordinary, dated the 1st September

2006, as subsequently amended.

Scheme, 2006, published with the Labour and Employment Department Notiﬁ cation No.II(2)/LE/453 (e-4)/2006, at pages 30-57 of

part II – Section 2 of the Tamil Nadu Government Gazette, Extraordinary dated the 1st September 2006, as subsequently

amended.

In the said Scheme,-

“(1) in clause 1,-

(i)

in sub-clause (1), for the expression “Tamil Nadu Unorganised Drivers Social Security and Welfare Scheme”,

the expression “Tamil Nadu Unorganised Drivers and Automobile Workshop Workers Social Security and

Welfare Scheme, 2006” shall be substituted;

(ii)

in sub-clause (3), for the expression “engaged in driving auto-rickshaws, taxi, van, tempo, lorries and buses”,

the expression “engaged in automobile workshops and in driving auto-rickshaws, taxi, van, tempo lorries and

buses” shall be substituted ;

24”, the expression “engaged to do any manual work in employment of automobile workshops speciﬁ ed in

item 13 and in driving auto-rickshaws, taxi, van, tempo, lorries and buses other than those owned by the

Government departments speciﬁ ed in item 24” shall be substituted;

(ii)

in sub-clause (i), for the expression “engaged himself in driving auto-rickshaws, taxi, van, tempo, lorries and

Committee hereby makes the following amendments to the Tamil Nadu Cooking Food Workers’ Social Security and Welfare

Scheme, 2015 published with the Labour and Employment Department Notiﬁ cation No.II(2)/LE/435/2015, at pages 518 to 556 of

Part II-Section 2 of the Tamil Nadu Government Gazette, dated the 5th August 2015.

In the said Scheme:-

“(1) in clause 1,-

(i)

in sub-clause (1), for the expression “Tamil Nadu Cooking Food Workers’ Social Security and Welfare

Scheme”, the expression “Tamil Nadu Cooking and Catering Workers’ Social Security and Welfare Scheme,

2015” shall be substituted;

(ii)

in sub-clause (3), for the expression “in all other allied activities of cooking food”, the expression “in all

other allied activities of cooking food and in catering establishments” shall be substituted;
