Amendment to the Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly (Salaries and Reimbursement of

Medical Expenses to Members) Rules 1979.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 14 read with section 12 of the Tamil Nadu Payment of

Salaries Act, 1951 (Tamil Nadu Act XX of 1951), the Governor of Tamil Nadu hereby makes the following

amendment to the Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly (Salaries and Reimbursement of Medical Expenses to

Members) Rules, 1979:-

Aඕඍඖඌඕඍඖග

In the said Rules, to rule 5, the following proviso shall be added, namely:-

“Provided that if any Member desires to contribute whole or any part of the salary, in writing to a

Fund sponsored by the State Government or the Central Government, the salary shall be claimed by the

Authorised Offi cer and the amount of such contribution shall be credited to that Fund”
