Amendments to the Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission Regulations.

No. SRO B-60/2021.—In exercise of the powers conferred by the proviso to clause (3) of Article 320 of the Constitution

of India, the Governor of Tamil Nadu hereby makes the following amendment to the Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission

Regulations, 1954 (Volume-I of the Tamil Nadu Services Manual, 1987).

2. The amendment hereby made shall be deemed to have come into force on the 9th March 2020.

In the said Regulations, in regulation 18, in sub-regulation (1), to clause (b), the following proviso shall be added, namely:-

''Provided that it shall not be necessary for the Commission to be consulted in cases where the State Government propose to

impose a major penalty in the disciplinary proceedings initiated under rule 17(c)(i)(1) of the Tamil Nadu Civil Services (Discipline

and Appeal) Rules, based on the facts which led to the conviction in a Criminal Court''.
