Commissionerate of Transport and Road Safety - Orders - Issued.]

The following Government Order is Published:—

Announcement made by the Hon'ble Minister for Finance and Human Resource Management during

Budget Speech 2021-22.

From Transport Commissioner, Chennai Letter No.2983/E1/2021, dated 11-10-2021, 03-11-2021 and

17-11-2021.

ORDER: No. 564, Home (Transport-V), 9th December 2021.

The Hon'ble Minister for Finance and Human Resource Management, while presenting the Budget Speech 2021-2022

has made the following Announcement on the floor of the Assembly:-

"«ð£‚°õóˆ¶ Ý¬íòóè‹, «ð£‚°õóˆ¶ ñŸÁ‹ ꣬ôŠ ð£¶è£Š¹ ݬíòóè‹ âùŠ ªðò˜ ñ£Ÿø‹ ªêŒòŠð´‹"

"The Commissionerate of Transport will be changed as Commissionerate of Transport and Road Safety."

2. Based on the above Announcement, the Transport Commissioner has sent necessary proposal to Government in the

reference second read above and requested that the designation of Commissionerate of Transport may be re-designated as

Commissionerate of Transport and Road Safety.

3. The Government have examined the proposal of the Transport Commissioner in detail. The Government direct that

the nomenclature of the "Commissionerate of Transport" be changed as "Commissionerate of Transport and Road Safety".

4. This order shall come into force with immediate effect.

5. Necessary amendments to this effect to the Tamil Nadu Business Rules, 1978 will be issued by the Government in

Human Resources Management Department separately.

No.II(1)/HOPE/31/2021.—In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-Section (1) of Section 18-B of the Tamil Nadu

Prohibition Act, 1937 (Tamil Nadu Act X of 1937), the Governor of Tamil Nadu hereby makes the following amendment

to the Prohibition and Excise Department Notification No.II(1 )/PE/239(d)/81, published at page 2 of Part II—Section

1 of the Tamil Nadu Government Gazette Extraordinary, dated the 1st May 1981, as subsequently amended.

2. The amendment hereby made shall come into force with effect from 13th December 2021.

In the said Notification, in the TABLE, in the Annexure, under the headings "ORDINARY BRANDS", "MEDIUM BRANDS"

and "PREMIUM BRANDS", for the sub-heading "Thiruvalargal Shiva Distilleries Limited", the sub-heading "Thiruvalargal Shiva

Distilleries Private Limited", shall be substituted.

the Prohibition and Excise Department Notification No.II(1)/PE/239(d)/81, published at page 2 of Part II—Section 1 of the

Tamil Nadu Government Gazette Extraordinary, dated the 1st May 1981, as subsequently amended.

2. The amendment hereby made shall come into force with effect from 13th December 2021.

Amendment.

In the said Notification, in the TABLE, in the Annexure, under the headings "ORDINARY BRANDS", "MEDIUM

BRANDS" and "PREMIUM BRANDS" for the sub-heading "Thiruvalargal Southern Agrifurane Industries Limited", the

sub-heading "Thiruvalargal Southern Agrifurane Industries Private Limited", shall be substituted.
