In exercise of the powers conferred by section 50-A of the Coimbatore City Municipal Corporation Act,

1981 (Tamil Nadu Act 25 of 1981) read with section 8 of the Kumbakonam City Municipal Corporation

Ordinance, 2021 (Tamil Nadu Ordinance 7 of 2021), the Governor of Tamil Nadu hereby directs that

the powers exercisable by the Government under sub-sections (4), (5) and (6) of section 5 of the said

Tamil Nadu Ordinance 7 of 2021 and section 51 of the said Tamil Nadu Act 25 of 1981, in respect of the

Corporation of Kumbakonam, be exercisable by the Commissioner, Corporation of Kumbakonam.
