Amendments to the Special Rules for the Tamil Nadu Survey and Land Records Subordinate Service

Revenue and Disaster Management Department Survey and Settlement Wing, SS4 (2)

No. SRO B-21/2022.—In exercise of the powers conferred by the proviso to Article 309 of the Constitution of India, the

Governor of Tamil Nadu hereby makes the following amendments to the Special Rules for the Tamil Nadu Survey and Land

Records Subordinate Service (Section 31 in Volume-Ill of the Tamil Nadu Service Manual, 2016)

In the said Special Rules, in rule 6;-

(1) in sub-rule (b), after the expression "by direct recruitment", the expression "except the posts referred to in Serial

Nos.1, 10 and 12 namely, Deputy Inspector of Survey and Land Records, Field Surveyor and Draftsman" shall be inserted,

(2) after sub-rule (d), the following sub-rule shall be inserted, namely:—

“(e) No person shall be eligible for appointment by direct recruitment to the posts specifi ed in column (1) of the

Table below, unless he possesses the qualifi cations specifi ed in the corresponding entries in column (2) thereof:-

(iii) A Certifi cate in Army Trade Surveyor (fi eld) issued by Madras

Engineering Group.

Draftsman

(i) A Diploma in Civil Engineering from any institute approved by

All India Council for Technical Education (or)

(ii) National Trade Certifi cate in the trade of Draftsman (Civil)

awarded by National Council for Vocational Training

(for draftsman) (or)

(iii) A Certifi cate in Army Trade Draftsman (fi eld) issued by

Madras Engineering Group.

Amendment to the Special Rules to the Posts of Junior Photographer in Information and Public Relations Department

in Tamil Nadu General Subordinate Service.

Tamil Development and Information (ADMN.3.1)

No. SRO B-22/2022.—In exercise of the powers conferred by the proviso to Article 309 of the Constitution of India,

the Governor of Tamil Nadu hereby makes the following amendment to the Special Rules for the Tamil Nadu General

Subordinate Service (Sec.13 of Part III B of Service Rules contained in Volume III of the Tamil Nadu Service Manual, 1970).

In the said Special Rules,

In Part-II under the heading "Class XLIV - INFORMATION AND PUBLIC RELATIONS DEPARTMENT", in

Rule 4, in sub-rule (b), in the Table in Column (3), against the entry "Junior Photographer" in Column (1) and the

corresponding entry" Direct Recruitment" in Column (2), the expression, "and practical experience in the fi eld of

Still Photography, Adobe Photoshop and Coral Draw for a period of not less than three years" shall be omitted.
