NOTIFICATIONS BY GOVERNMENT

HOME, PROHIBITION AND EXCISE DEPARTMENT

Amendment to Notiﬁ cation under the Tamil Nadu Prohibition Act.

[G.O. Ms. No. 21, Home, Prohibition and Excise (III), 14th March 2022,

No. II(1)/HOPE/23/2022.—In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of Section 18-B of the Tamil Nadu

Prohibition Act, 1937 (Tamil Nadu Act X of 1937), the Governor of Tamil Nadu hereby makes the following amendment

to the Prohibition and Excise Department Notiﬁ cation No.II(1)/PE/239(d)/81, published at page 2 of Part II-Section 1 of

the Tamil Nadu Government Gazette Extraordinary, dated the 1st May 1981, as subsequently amended:-

In the said Notiﬁ cation, in the TABLE, in the Annexure referred to in the entry “Indian Made Foreign Spirits

(brand names of which are speciﬁ ed in the Annexure) other than sacramental wine” in column (1), under the heading

“PREMIUM BRANDS”, under the sub-heading “Thiruvalargal Mohan Breweries and Distilleries Limited”, after the entry

“Marcel XO French Brandy”, the entry “Mansion House Reserve Brandy” shall be added.

No. II(1)/HOPE/24/2022.—In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of Section 18-B of the Tamil Nadu

Prohibition Act, 1937 (Tamil Nadu Act X of 1937), the Governor of Tamil Nadu hereby makes the following amendment

to the Prohibition and Excise Department Notiﬁ cation No.II(1)/PE/239(d)/81, published at page 2 of Part II-Section 1 of

the Tamil Nadu Government Gazette Extraordinary, dated the 1st May 1981, as subsequently amended:-

In the said Notiﬁ cation, in the TABLE, in the Annexure, under the heading “PREMIUM BRANDS”, under the

sub-heading “Thiruvalargal Midas Golden Distilleries Private Limited”, the following entries shall be omitted, namely:-

“Mc Dowell’s No. 1 Reserve Premium Brandy”;

“Mc Dowell’s No. 1 Platinum XO Brandy”; and

“Mc Dowell’s No. 1 Superior White Rum”.

No. II(1)/REVDM/25/2022.—Under Section 18-B of the Tamil Nadu Land Reforms (Fixation of Ceiling on Land)

Act, 1961 (Tamil Nadu Act 58 of 1961), the Governor of Tamil Nadu hereby makes the following modiﬁ cation to

the Revenue Department Notiﬁ cation No. II(1)/REV/142(b)/94, published at pages 1 to 4 of Part II-Section 1 of the

Tamil Nadu Government Gazette Extraordinary, dated the 7th December 1994.
