APPOINTMENT OF MEMBERS OF THE ASSISTED REPRODUCTIVE TECHNOLOGY AND SURROGACY

AUTHORITY FOR THE WHOLE STATE OF TAMIL NADU UNDER THE SURROGACY (REGULATION)

ACT AND ASSISTED REPRODUCTIVE TECHNOLOGY (REGULATION) ACT, 2021.

In exercise of the powers conferred under sub-section (2) of Section 12 of the Assisted Reproductive Technology

(Regulation) Act, 2021 (Central Act 42 of 2021) and sub-section (2) of Section 35 of the Surrogacy (Regulation) Act, 2021

(Central Act 47 of 2021), the Governor of Tamil Nadu hereby appoints the Assisted Reproductive Technology and Surrogacy

authority for the whole of the State of Tamil Nadu for the purposes of the said Acts, which shall consist of the following

members namely:—

1. The Additional Secretary to Government, Health and Family Welfare Department, Secretariat,

Chennai-09—Chairperson, Ex-officio;

2. The Director of Family Welfare-Vice-Chairperson, Ex-officio; Chennai-600 006.

3. Tmt. Vasudha Rajasekar—No. 10, Thirumurugan Street, Kalakshetra Colony, Besant Nagar, Chennai-600 090—

representing Women's Organization—Member.

4. The Deputy Secretary to Government, Concerned Law Department, Secretariat, Chennai-600 009—Member;

5. Dr. Mohana, M.D., OG, Professor, Institute of Obstetrics & Gynaecology and Government Hospital for Women and

Children, Egmore, Chennai-600 008—Member.
