Amendment to the Tamil Nadu Motor Vehicles (Regulation and Control of School Buses) Special Rules, 2012.

No. SRO B-50/2022.—In exercise of the powers conferred by clause (xxxiii) of sub-section (2) of Section 96,

Section 111, and sub-section (2) of Section 138 of the Motor Vehicles Act, 1988 (Central Act 59 of 1988), the Governor of

Tamil Nadu hereby makes the following amendment to the Tamil Nadu Motor Vehicles (Regulation and Control of School

Buses) Special Rules, 2012, the draft of the same having been previously published, as required by sub-section (1) of

Section 212 of the said Act.

In the said Rules, in rule 6, after sub-rule (16), the following sub-rule shall be added, namely:-

"(17) Fixing of cameras and sensor.- In every School Bus,—

(a) A camera shall be fi xed at the front end.

(b) A camera shall be fi xed at the rear end in such a manner that the driver while taking reverse can have a

complete view of the rear side.

(c) A sensor shall also be fi xed at the rear end to give warning signal".
