CO-OPERATION, FOOD AND CONSUMER PROTECTION DEPARTMENT
Amendment to the Tamil Nadu Consumer Protection (Salary, allowances and conditions of service of President
and Members of the State Commission and District Commission) Rules, 2021.
[G.O. Ms. No. 1, Co-operation Food and Consumer Protection (H1), 10th January 2023,

No. SRO A-2/2023.—In exercise of the powers conferred under Sections 30 and 44 read with clauses (h) and (m) of
sub-section (2) of section 102 of the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 (Central Act 35 of 2019) the Governor of Tamil Nadu
hereby makes the following amendment to the Tamil Nadu Consumer Protection (Salary, allowances and Conditions of service
of President and Members of the State Commission and District Commission) Rules, 2021:-
Amendment
In the said Rules, after rule 14, the following rule shall be added, namely:-
"15. The Government may transfer any President or Member of the District Commission from one district to another
district on the recommendation of the President, State Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission, Chennai, on request
or on administrative grounds."

No. SRO A-3/2023.—In exercise of the powers conferred by rule 152 of Drugs and Cosmetics Rules, 1945, the
Governor of Tamil Nadu hereby appoints Dr. Y.R. Manekshah, M.D.(S), Lecturer Grade-II, Government Siddha Medical
College, Palayamkottai to be the Licensing Authority for the whole of the State of Tamil Nadu for the purpose of
Part XVI of the said Rules.

No. SRO A-4/2023.—The following Notification of the Government of India Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances and
Pensions (Department of Personnel and Training) New Delhi, the 30th December, 2022 is republished:-
G.S.R. 929(E).-In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 3 of the All India Services Act, 1951
(61 of 1951), read with sub-rules (1) and (2) of rule 4 of the Indian Administrative Service (Cadre) Rules, 1954, the Central
Government, in consultation with the Government of Tamil Nadu, hereby makes the following regulations further to amend
the Indian administrative Service (Fixation of Cadre Strength) Regulations, 1955, namely:-
1.
(1) These Regulations may be called the Indian Administrative Service (Fixation of Cadre Strength) Fourth
Amendment Regulations, 2022.
(2) They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette.
2.
In the Indian Administrative Service (Fixation of Cadre Strength) Regulations, 1955, in the Schedule, for the
heading "Tamil Nadu" and the entries relating thereto, the following shall be substituted namely:-

Note 1:
Prior to the issue of the notification, the Total Authorized Strength of Tamil Nadu IAS Cadre was 376.
Note 2:
The principal Regulations were published in the Gazette of India vide SRO No. 3350, dated 22-10-1955.
