Election to the Authorities of the University

No. VI-3(b)/2/2023.

It is hereby notifi ed that the following elections will be held under Section mentioned hereunder as per the Madurai

Kamaraj University Act, 1965 to elect:-

(i) THREE MEMBERS to the SYNDICATE by the ACADEMIC COUNCIL from among the members of whom

two shall be Teachers of affi liated colleges and the remaining shall be a person other than a teacher of an affi liated

college under Section 19(a) Class II—Other members (2) of the Madurai Kamaraj University Act, 1965.

(ii) FIVE MEMBERS to the SENATE by the members of the ACADEMIC COUNCIL from among themselves

of whom not less than three shall be Teachers of affi liated colleges under Section 15(a) Class III—Other members (2)

of the Madurai Kamaraj University Act, 1965.

(iii) SIX MEMBERS to the STANDING COMMITTEE of the ACADEMIC COUNCIL by the members of the

ACADEMIC COUNCIL of whom three shall be members of the Academic Council who are Principals or Teachers of

affi liated colleges and the remaining three shall be persons other than members of the Syndicate under Chapter XVI

Statutes 2 of Madurai Kamaraj University Calendar Volume-I.

The last date and hour for receipt of nominations is Friday, the 10th February, 2023 at 4.00 p.m. by the Registrar,

Madurai Kamaraj University, Palkalai Nagar, Madurai-625 021 and the date and time regarding the further election process

can be had by the candidates from the Registrar.
