CO-OPERATION, FOOD AND CONSUMER PROTECTION DEPARTMENT

Amendment to the Tamil Nadu Co-operative Societies Rules.

[G.O. Ms. No. 2, Co-operation, Food and Consumer Protection (CJ1), 18th January 2023,

No. SRO A-6/2023.—In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-sections (1), (2) and (3) of Section 180 of the

Tamil Nadu Co-operative Societies Act, 1983 (Tamil Nadu Act 30 of 1983), the Governor of Tamil Nadu hereby makes the

following amendment to the Tamil Nadu Co-operative Societies Rules, 1988:-

Amendment.

In the said Rules, in SCHEDULE II, in Part A, in Serial No.7, for item (3), the following item shall be substituted, namely:-

“(3) Four Functional Directors of whom, —

(i)

the representative of the Tamil Nadu State Apex Co-operative Bank, Chennai;

(ii)

the Joint Director of Handlooms & Textiles in charge of Weavers’ Co-operative Societies, Office of the Director

of Handlooms & Textiles, Chennai;

(iii)

the representative of the Finance Department of the Government; and

(iv)

the Managing Director of the Society.”.
