Amendments to the Special Rules for the Tamil Nadu Police Service.

No. SRO B-3/2023.—In the exercise of the powers conferred by the proviso to Article 309 of the Constitution of India,

the Governor of Tamil Nadu hereby makes the following amendments to the Special Rules for the Tamil Nadu Police Service

(Section 22 in Volume II of the Tamil Nadu Services Manual, 2016):-

The amendments hereby made shall be deemed to have come into force with effect on and

from the 10th November 2021.

Amendments.

In the said Special Rules,—

(i) in rule 1, under Class I-A, in Category 1, for the expression "Superintendent of Police (Technical)", the expression

"Superintendent of Police (Technical) including Deputy Commissioner of Police (Technical)" shall be substituted;

(ii) in rule 2, in the tabular column, in column (1), under Class I A, in Category 1, for the expression "Superintendent

of Police (Technical)", the expression “Superintendent of Police (Technical)’’ including Deputy Commissioner of

Police (Technical)" shall be substituted;

(iii) in rule 2A, in the proviso, for the expression "the post of Superintendent of Police (Technical)", the expression

"the post of Superintendent of Police (Technical)", including Deputy Commissioner of Police (Technical)"

shall be substituted;

(iv) in rule 4, in sub-rule (F), in the TABLE, in column (1), for the expression "Superintendent of Police (Technical)

the expression “Superintendent of Police (Technical)", including Deputy Commissioner of Police (Technical)"

shall be substituted.
