No. I/PUSP/6/2023.—The following Notification of

the Government of India, Ministry of Personnel, Public

Grievances and Pensions, Department of Personnel and

Training, New Delhi, the 1st February, 2023 is republished.-

In exercise of the powers conferred by Rule 8(2)

of the Indian Administrative Service (Recruitment)

Rules, 1954 read with Regulation 8 of the Indian

Administrative Service (Appointment by Selection)

Regulations, 1997 and Rule 3 of the Indian

Administrative Service (Probation) Rules, 1954,

the President is pleased to appoint the following

member

of

the

Non-State

Civil

Service

of

Tamil Nadu to the Indian Administrative Service

against the vacancies determined by Government

of India under Regulation 3 of the said Regulations

in consultation with the State Government for the

Select List of 2021, on probation until further orders

and to allocate him to the Tamil Nadu Cadre under

Rule 5 (1) of the Indian Administrative Service (Cadre)

Rules, 1954:-

Obituary Notice

[G.O.Rt.No. 790, Public (Special-B), 17th February 2023,

Maasi 5, Subakiruthu, Thiruvalluvar Aandu-2054.]

No. I/PUSP/7/2023.—The Government of

Tamil Nadu record with deep and profound regret

the untimely death of one of its Senior Officers,

Thiru C. Kathiravan, lAS, Project Director, Tamil Nadu

Road Sector Project II, Chennai on 17th February 2023

at the age of 52 years.

2. He started his career as an Agriculture Offi cer from

12.09.1996 and entered into Tamil Nadu State Civil Services

as Probationary Deputy Collector, in Dharmapuri District

on 25.01.2002 and held various posts including Revenue

Divisional Offi cer Kallakurichi, Aranthangi and Villuppuram;

Personal Assistant (General) to Collector, Villuppuram;

District Revenue Offi cer, Villuppurarm and Tiruvannamalai.

He has got conformant in the Indian Administrative Service

on 27.12.2013 and held various posts including General

Manager, Aavin, Salem; Commissioner, Corporation of

Madurai; Collector, Krishnagiri and Erode; Managing

Director, TANMAG, Salem and now the Project Director,

Tamil Nadu Road Sector Project II, Chennai.

3. In the death of Thiru C. Kathiravan, lAS, the

Government of Tamil Nadu has lost one of its Senior

Offi cers. The Government places on record its condolence

to the bereaved family members.
