Notification under the Seed Act

Declaration of certain Seed Testing Laboratories at Tiruppur as State seed Laboratory under the Act

[G.O. Ms. No. 32, Agriculture and Farmers Welfare [AP.1], 24th February 2023,

No. II(1)/AGFW/5/2023.—In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (2) of Section 4 of the Seeds Act,

1966 (Central Act 54 of 1966), the Governor of Tamil Nadu hereby declares the seed Testing Laboratory at Tiruppur

as State Seed Laboratory, for the purpose of carrying out analysis of seeds of any notifi ed kind or variety by seed

Analyst under that Act.

Declaration of the Post of Senior Agricultural Offi cer in Seed Testing Laboratory at Tiruppur to be

the “Seed Analyst’’ under the Act.

No. II(1)/AGFW/6/2023.—In exercise of the powers conferred by Section 12 of the Seeds Act, 1966 (Central Act

54 of 1966), the Governor of Tamil Nadu hereby appoints the Senior Agricultural Offi cer, Seed Testing Laboratory at

Tiruppur to be “Seed Analyst’’ and he shall exercise jurisdiction in Tiruppur District.

Appointment of certain offi cial as notifi ed Authority under Fertilizer (Inorganic, Organic or Mixed) (control) order

[G.O. Ms. No. 34, Agriculture and Farmers Welfare [AP.III], 28th February 2023,

No. II(1)/AGFW/7/2023.—In exercise of the powers conferred by clause 28A of the Fertilizer (Inorganic, Organic

or Mixed) (Control) Order, 1985 and in super session of Agriculture Department Notifi cation No. 8 Published at

page 13 of Part II-Section 1 of the Tamil Nadu Government Gazette dated the Second March 2011, the Governor of

Tamil Nadu hereby appoints the District Joint Director of Agriculture within their respective jurisdiction to be the Notifi ed

Authority for keeping the Fertilizer Samples in his/her custody and for sending the second part for analysis to National

Test House and keep the third sample for refree analysis.
