In Tiruchirappalli District, Srirangam Taluk, Nagamangalam Village, 26.34.00 Hectares land has been required for public purpose namely Cauvery-

Vaigai-Gundar interlinking Flood Carrier Canal project. For above purpose, 19.00.74 Hectares Patta Lands in Nagamangalam Village is to be acquired,

for which, Preliminary Notification u/s 11(1) has been published on 18.10.2022. The Revenue Divisional Officer, Srirangam is appointed as Administrator

for the purpose of Rehabilitation and Resettlement. The Draft Rehabilitation and Resettlement Scheme for the project is given below:

thousand rupees

Fishing rights

In cases of irrigation or hydel projects, the affected families

may be allowed fishing rights in the reservoirs, in such manner

Each affected family shall be given a onetime “Resettlement

Allowance” of fifty thousand rupees only.

(1) The stamp duty and other fees payable for registration

of the land or house allotted to the affected families shall be

borne by the Requiring Body.

The number of families likely to be resettled due to land acquisition is 07 for whom rehabilitation and resettlement compensation has been fixed.

Survey Numbers of Lands to be acquired 13/3 in Village Rachandar Thirumalai (Block-1) Taluk Kulithalai, District Karur, Area 13.53.90

(in hectares) Mines of coal, iron-stone, slate or other minerals lying under the said land or any particular portion of the said land, except such parts of

the mines and minerals which may be required to be dug or removed or used during the construction phase of the project for the purpose of which

the land is being acquired, are not needed.
