DATE OF COMMENCEMENT OF THE TAMIL NADU TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING (THIRD AMENDMENT)

ACT, 2018 (TAMIL NADU ACT 31 OF 2018).

WHEREAS the Tamil Nadu Town and Country Planning (Third Amendment) Act, 2018 (Tamil Nadu Act

31 of 2018) was published in an Extraordinary issue of Part IV-Section 2 of the Tamil Nadu Government Gazette on the

13th July 2018; AND WHEREAS the Tamil Nadu Town and Country Planning (Third Amendment) Amendment Act, 2023

(Tamil Nadu Act 18 of 2023) has been published in an Extraordinary issue of Part IV-Section 2 of the

Tamil Nadu Government Gazette, dated 5th May 2023;

Now, in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (2) of Section (1) of the said Tamil Nadu Town and

Country Planning (Third Amendment) Act, 2018 (Tamil Nadu Act 31 of 2018), the Governor of Tamil Nadu hereby appoints

the 22nd day of June 2023 as the date on which of the said Act, shall come into force.
