SOCIAL WELFARE AND NUTRITIOUS MEAL PROGRAMME DEPARTMENT

ADHOC RULES RELATING TO THE TEMPORARY POST OF PROGRAMME DEVELOPMENT AND MONITORING

EVALUATION OFFICER IN THE DEPARTMENT OF SOCIAL DEFENCE IN TAMIL NADU APPROVED SCHOOLS

AND VIGILANCE SERVICE

In exercise of the powers conferred by the proviso to Article 309 of the Constitution of India, the Governor of

Tamil Nadu hereby makes the following rules:-

The rules hereby made shall be deemed to have come into force on the 13th March 1992.

Rඝඔඍඛ

The General and the Special Rules applicable to the holders of the permanent post of Deputy Director of Social

Defence in the Tamil Nadu Approved Schools and Vigilance Service shall apply to the holder of the temporary post of

Programme Development and Monitoring Evaluation Offi cer, sanctioned from time to time, for the Department of Social

Defence, subject to the modifi cations specifi ed in the following rules:-

1. Constitution. The post shall constitute a distinct category in branch I of the said Service.

2. Appointment. Appointment to the post shall be made as follows:-

(i)

by recruitment by transfer from the holder of the post of Personal Assistant to the Director of Social Defence; or

(ii)

by promotion from among the holders of the posts of Assistant Director (Vocational Programme) Superintendent,

Government Special Home / Juvenile Home for Boys, Superintendent, Government Special Home / Juvenile Home for

Girls, Superintendent, Government Vigilance Home and Stri Sadana or Psychologist.

3. Qualifi cation. No person shall be eligible for appointment to the post, unless he has served for a period of not

less than fi ve years in the post from which the recruitment is made.

4. Preparation of annual list of approved Candidates. For the purpose of drawing up of the annual list of

approved candidates for appointment to the post, a common seniority shall be maintained from the holders of

all the feeder posts who are eligible for appointment to the post of Programme Development and Monitoring

Evaluation Offi cer. The seniority shall be fi xed taking into consideration the date from which they are offi ciating

regularly in the respective posts.

5. Pay. There shall be paid to the holder of the post a monthly pay calculated in the scale of Rs. 3000-100-

3500-125-4500, Provided that with eff ect on and from the 1st January 1996, the monthly pay shall be calculated

in the scale of Rs. 10000-325-15200.
