conferred by clause (b) of sub-section (1) of Section 9 of the

Indian Stamp Act, 1899 (Central Act II of 1899), the Governor

of Tamil Nadu hereby provides for the consolidation of duty

of Rs.20,00,000/- (Rupees Twenty Lakhs only) chargeable

under the said Act in respect of issue of insurance policies

by the Life Insurance Corporation of India, P & GS Unit,

Vellore for the period from 01.07.2023 to 30.06.2024.

No.II(2)/HO/752/2023.—In exercise of the powers

conferred by Section 14 of the Scheduled Castes and

Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Act, 1989

(Central Act 33 of 1989), the Governor of Tamil Nadu,

with the concurrence of the Chief Justice of the High

Court, Madras, hereby makes the following amendments

to the Home Department Notification No.II(2)/HO/2422/97,

Published at page 685 of Part II-Section 2 of the

Tamil Nadu Government Gazette, dated the 3rd December

1997, as subsequently amended:-

In the said Notification, in the Table, in column (3), -

(1) against serial number 6 in column (1), for the

expression "Special Court for exclusive trial of cases

at Chengalpattu", in column (3) thereof, the expression

Read:—

From the Additional Director General of Police, Economic

Offences Wing, Chennai letter Rc.No.C1/EOW/4631/2023,

dated 23.05.2023.

Order: No. 395, Home (Police-XIX), dated 26th July 2023.

WHEREAS, complaints have been received from

a number of depositors that Messers Green Tech Distributors

Private Limited and G.Care, Madurai District, a financial

establishment, has defaulted the return of deposits made

by the depositors after maturity;

AND WHEREAS, the Government are satisfied that

the said financial establishment is not likely to return the

deposits to the depositors and hence, the Government have

to protect the interests of such depositors;

AND WHEREAS, the movable properties specified

in the Schedule to this Order are alleged to have been

procured by the said financial establishment from and out

of the deposits collected from the depositors;

NOW, THEREFORE, in exercise of the powers

conferred by Section 3 of the Tamil Nadu Protection of

Interests of Depositors (in Financial Establishments) Act,

1997 (Tamil Nadu Act 44 of 1997), the Governor of

Tamil Nadu hereby makes an ad-interim order attaching

the movable properties of the defaulted financial

establishment, namely, Messers Green Tech Distributors

Private Limited, and G.Care, functioned at No. 328,

North Masi Street, Madurai District, A-3 Annes Muhamed

and A-5 Sundaresan, as specified in the schedule to this

order and transfers the control over the said movable

properties to the Competent Authority, namely, the Competent

Authority and District Revenue Officer, Madurai District

appointed under the said Act.

2. The Competent Authority and District Revenue

Officer, Madurai District is requested to pursue further

action in accordance with the procedure laid down in

sub-sections (3) and (4) of Section 4 of the said Act and

also the formalities prescribed in the Tamil Nadu Protection of

Interests of Depositors (in financial Establishments)

Rules, 1997.

3. The Special Public Prosecutor, Special Court

for the Tamil Nadu Protection of Interests of Depositors

(in Financial Establishments) Act, 1997, Madurai, is requested

to render necessary assistance to the Competent Authority

and District Revenue Officer, Madurai District in filing the

application before the Special Court constituted under the

said Act.
