Amendments to the Special Rules for the Tamil Nadu Transport Subordinate Service Rules.

No. SRO B-40/2023.—In exercise of the powers conferred by the proviso to Article 309 of the Constitution of

India, the Governor of Tamil Nadu hereby makes the following amendments to the Special Rules for the Tamil Nadu

Transport Subordinate Service (Section 42 of Part III B in Volume III of the Tamil Nadu Service Manual, 2016):—

Amendments

In the said Special Rules, in rule 5, in sub-rule (b), in the Table,-

(1) for the entries in column (3) against the entries ''2. Motor Vehicles Inspectors, Grade II'' and ''Direct

Recruitment'' in columns (1) and (2) respectively, the following entries shall be substituted, namely:—

''(i) Minimum General Educational Qualification;

(ii) A diploma in automobile Engineering (Three year course) or a diploma in Mechanical Engineering

(three year course) awarded by any institution recognised by the Central Government or the State Government

or awarded by the State Board of Technical Education and Training, Tamil Nadu; and

(iii) Must hold a valid driving licence authorising to drive motor cycle with gear and light motor vehicles''.

(2) the explanation thereunder shall be omitted.
