NOTIFICATION

In exercise of the powers conferred by Regulation 5 of Chennai Port Trust Employees’ (Recruitment, Seniority

and Promotion) Regulations, 2008, the Board of Chennai Port Authority vide its Resolution No.51, dated 04.07.2023

has approved the amendments made to the existing Recruitment Rules for the post of Junior Engineer (Electrical)

(Class-III) in Mechanical and Electrical Engineering Department.

In exercise of the powers conferred by Section 72 (2)(c) of Major Port Authorities Act, 2021 (1 of 2021),

under Schedule-II of the Chennai Port Trust Employees’ (Recruitment, Seniority and Promotion) Regulations 2008,

the following amendments made to the existing Recruitment Rules for the post of Junior Engineer (Electrical)

(Class-III) is cause for publication.

Amendments

In the said Schedule-II, under said Regulations, the Recruitment Rules for the post of Junior Engineer

(Electrical) (Class-III) [Sl. No. 12] in Mechanical and Electrical Engineering Department, in column 8 (a), the

following shall be substituted:

“Must possess a Diploma in Electrical Engineering / Electrical & Electronics Engineering / Electronics &

Communication Engineering / Electronics Engineering of State Board of Technical Education and Training or its

equivalent from a recognized Institution or Board”.

Regulations, 2008 was published in the Tamil Nadu Government Gazette vide No. SRO C-2/2016, dated the

3rd February 2016.
