ONo.II(2)/LWSD/1032/2023.—In exercise of the powers

conferred by Section 3 read with Section 4 of the

Tamil Nadu Manual Workers (Regulation of Employment

and Conditions of Work) Act, 1982 (Tamil Nadu Act 33

of 1982), the Governor of Tamil Nadu, after consultation

with the Advisory Committee, hereby makes the following

amendments to the Tamil Nadu Manual Workers Social

Security and Welfare Scheme, 2006:-

Amendments

In the said Scheme,-

(1) in clause 1, in sub-clause (3) for the expression

"items 6, 10, 11, 12, 17, 18, 24, 30, 32, 33, 35,

36, 43, 45, 51, 52, 54, 58, 59, 60 and 62", the

expression "items 6, 10,11, 12, 13, 17, 18, 19, 22,

24, 28, 30, 32, 33, 35, 36, 40, 43, 45, 46, 50, 51,

52, 54, 56, 58, 59, 60 and 62" shall be substituted;

(2) in clause 2,-

(i) in sub-clause (g), for the expression, "item 6, 10,

11, 12, 17, 18, 24, 30, 32, 33, 35, 36, 43, 45, 51, 52,

54, 58, 59, 60 and 62", the expression "items 6, 10,

11, 12, 13, 17, 18, 19, 22, 24, 28, 30, 32, 33, 35, 36,

ONo.II(2)/LWSD/1033/2023.—WHEREAS, the Governor

of Tamil Nadu is satisfied the public interest requires that

the "Catering Industry who are manufacturing packed

meals and providing inflight catering services to Airlines"

should be declared as public utility service for the

purposes of the Industrial Disputes Act, 1947 (Central

Act XIV of 1947);

NOW, THEREFORE, in exercise of the powers

conferred by sub-clause (vi) of clause (n) of Section 2

of the said Act, the Governor of Tamil Nadu hereby

declares the "Catering Industry who are manufacturing

packed meals and providing inflight catering services

to Airlines" to be a public utility service for the

purposes of the said Act, for a period of six months

from the date of publication of this Notification in the

Tamil Nadu Government Gazette.
