The following Government Order is Published:-

Reforms (AR-III) Department, dated 16-02-2021.
Order: No. 61, Human Resources Management (AR.III),
dated 16th February 2024.
As per the orders issued in the Government
Order third read above, Thiru P. Dhanasekaran and
Thiru M. Sreedhar, entered upon office as State Information
Commissioners, Tamil Nadu Information Commission on
18.02.2021 F.N.
2. As per sub-section (2) of Section 16 of the Right to
Information Act, 2005 (Central Act 22 of 2005) as amended
in the Right to Information (Amendment) Act, 2019 and as
per Rule 12 of the Right to Information (Term of Office,
Salaries, Allowances and other Terms and Conditions of
Service of Chief Information Commissioner, Information
Commissioners in the Central Information Commission,
State Chief Information Commissioner and State Information
Commissioners in the State Information Commission) Rules,
2019, the State Chief Information Commissioner and State
Information Commissioners, as the case may be, shall hold
office for a period of three years from the date on which he
enters upon his office. Accordingly, Thiru P. Dhanasekaran
and Thiru M. Sreedhar, State Information Commissioners,
Tamil Nadu Information Commission, completes their term
of office of three years on 17.02.2024 .
3. It is hereby ordered, on completion of three years
term, Thiru P. Dhanasekaran and Thiru M. Sreedhar,
State Information Commissioners, Tamil Nadu Information
Commission, shall cease to hold office on the afternoon of
17.02.2024 as provided in sub-section (2) of section 16 of
the Right to Information Act, 2005 (Central Act 22 of 2005)
as amended in the Right to Information (Amendment) Act,
2019 and as provided in Rule 12 of the Right to Information
(Term of Office, Salaries, Allowances and other Terms and
Conditions of service of Chief Information Commissioner,
Information Commissioners in the Central Information
Commission, State Chief Information Commissioner and
State Information Commissioners in the State Information
Commission) Rules, 2019.
