NOTIFICATION

No. SRO C-17/2024.

In exercise of the powers conferred by Regulation 5 of Chennai Port Trust Employees' (Recruitment, Seniority

and Promotion) Regulations, 2008, the Board of Chennai Port Authority vide its Resolution No. 42, dated 24.05.2024

has approved the amendments made to the existing Recruitment Rules for the post of Electrician (HS) Gr. I in

Mechanical and Electrical Engineering Department.

In exercise of the powers conferred by Section 72 (2)(c) of Major Port Authorities Act, 2021 (1 of 2021),

under Schedule-II of the Chennai Port Trust Employees' (Recruitment, Seniority and Promotion) Regulations 2008,

the following amendments made to the existing Recruitment Rules for the post of Electrician (HS) Gr. I is cause

for publication.

Amendments

In the said Schedule-II, under said Regulations, the Recruitment Rules for the post of Electrician (HS)

Gr. I (Class III) [SI. No. 101] in Mechanical and Electrical Engineering Department, in column 12, the following

shall be substituted:

"1. Promotion from Technician (Electrical) HS Gr.II with two years of regular service in the grade.

2. Should pass the trade test prescribed for the grade".

Foot Note: The Schedule II annexed to the Chennai Port Trust Employees (Recruitment, Seniority and Promotions)

Regulations, 2008 was published in the Tamil Nadu Government Gazette vide No. SRO C-2/2016, dated

the 3rd February 2016.
