APPOINTMENT OF APPROPRIATE AUTHORITY FOR SURROGACY (REGULATION) ACT, 2021

AND ASSISTED REPRODUCTIVE TECHNOLOGY (REGULATION) ACT, 2021.

AMENDMENT TO NOTIFICATION

[G.O. Ms. No. 251, Health and Family Welfare [R1], 10th September 2024,

No. II(2)/HFW/849(b)/2024.

In exercise of the powers conferred under sub-section (2) of section 12 of the Assisted Reproductive Technology

(Regulation) Act, 2021 (Central Act 42 of 2021) and sub-section (2) of Section 35 of the Surrogacy (Regulation)

Act, 2021 (Central Act 47 of 2021), the Governor of Tamil Nadu hereby makes the following amendment to

the Notification No.II(2)/HFW/435(b)2022 published in Part II—Section 2 of the Tamil Nadu Government Gazette

Extraordinary No.322 dated 07.06.2022.

Amendment

In serial No.1, for the expression “The Additional Secretary to Government” appearing in the said notification,

the expression “the Joint Secretary to Government (IM)” shall be substituted.
