Notice is hereby given to all users of Railway lines and premises situated on the under-noted section of the
South Western Railway that the 25000 Volt, 50 Hz., AC overhead traction wires will be energized on or after the date
specified against the section. On and from the same date the overhead traction line shall be treated as live at all times and
no unauthorized person shall approach or work in the proximity of the said overhead line.

Amendment to the Madras High Court Service Rules, 2015
(R.O.C.No. 124291/2023/RAC)

In exercise of the powers conferred by Articles 229( 1) and (2) of the Constitution of India read with Rule 28(b) of
the Madras High Court Service Rules, 2015 and of all other powers connected thereto, the Hon 'ble The Chief Justice is
pleased to make the following amendment to the Madras High Court Service Rules, 2015.
Amendment
In Rule 14A under the heading "Qualification and Mode of Appointment to the posts in Divisions II and III",
"DIVISION-II (NON-GAZETTED-SUPERIOR POSTS)", existing entries in Mode of Appointment column in Sl.No.11,
Category 6(a) Assistant Section Officers including Translators and Assistant Court Fee Examiners, shall be substituted by
the following entries:
(i) By promotion from category 6(b) viz. Personal Assistant (to the Registrars); category 7 viz. Senior Typist;
category 8(a)/(b) viz., Computer Operator / Personal Clerk (to the Deputy Registrars) and category 9 viz. Assistant
in the ratio of 1:1:6:12 respectively and their seniority shall be fixed accordingly. In case of persons in category
6(b) viz. Personal Assistant (to the Registrars), only the cases of persons, who offer their willingness shall alone be
considered.
(ii) If sufficient eligible and qualified number of candidates/willing candidates are not available for promotion from
the posts of Personal Assistant (to the Registrars), Senior Typist, Computer Operator / Personal Clerk (to the Deputy
Registrars), such number of unfilled vacancies shall be filled up from category 9 viz. Assistant.
(iii) In case, at a given point of time, if 20 vacancies arise, such arising vacancies shall be filled up in 20 point roster
as below:

Explanation:
a)
If in a particular selection, only 5 vacancies arise in the category of Assistant Section Officers including
Translators and Assistant Court Fee Examiners, the first vacancy is to be filled up from the post of PA to
Registrars, the next vacancy is to be filled up from the post of Senior Typist, the next vacancy is to be filled
up from the post of Computer Operator / Personal Clerk (to the Deputy Registrars), the next two vacancies

are to be filled up from the post of Assistant; then the next first arising vacancy shall be filled up only from
the post of Computer Operator / Personal Clerk (to the Deputy Registrars) so as to complete the 20 point
roster and proceed to continue to fill up the rest of the vacancies so arisen, in the same manner.
b)
The Personal Clerk (to the Deputy Registrars) shall be considered, only if their seniority reaches the seniority
level of the members under consideration for such promotion from Computer Operators.
(iv) In case of direct recruits in the aforesaid feeder cadres, their names to be considered only after their probation
has been declared satisfactorily.
The above amendments shall come into force with effect from 07.01.2025
