In exercise of the powers conferred under section 5, 10 and 10-A of the Tamil Nadu Urban Local Bodies Act,

1998 (TN Act 9 of 1999) and in supersession of the Statutory Order No. 08/2022, dated 29.01.2022 read above, the

Tamil Nadu State Election Commission hereby specifies that in the Elections to fill up the vacancies in the offices of the

Councillors of Town Panchayats, Municipal Councils and Municipal Corporations, the giving and recording of votes by

electronic voting machine shall be adopted.
