NOMINATION OF SEARCH COMMITTEE MEMBERS TO RECOMMEND A PANEL OF THREE NAMES TO THE
GOVERNMENT FOR APPOINTMENT OF VICE-CHANCELLOR TO THE ANNA UNIVERSITY, CHENNAI
UNDER THE ANNA UNIVERSITY ACT, 1978.
AMENDMENTS TO NOTIFICATION

No. II(2)/HE/441(f-1)/2025.
Under sub-sections (1) and (2) of Section 11 of the Anna University Act, 1978 (Tamil Nadu Act 30 of 1978),
as amended by the Tamil Nadu Universities Laws (Amendment) Act, 2022 (Tamil Nadu Act 16 of 2025),
the Governor of Tamil Nadu hereby makes the following amendments to the Higher Education Department Notification
No. II (2)/HE/1189(d)/2024, published at pages 1 and 2 of Part II—Section 2 of the Tamil Nadu Government Gazette,
Extraordinary, dated the 13th December, 2024, namely :-
Amendments.
In the said Notification, --
(1) in the first paragraph, -
(a) the expression “to the Hon’ble Governor-Chancellor”, shall be omitted;
(b) in the tabular column, in the third column, against serial number 1 in the first column, for the expression
“Chancellor’s Nominee / Convener”, the expression “Chancellor’s Nominee / Member” shall be substituted;
(2) in para 2, for the expression “to the Hon’ble Governor-Chancellor of Anna University, Chennai”, the expression
“to the Government” shall be substituted.

Under sub-sections (1) of Section 11 of the Madurai Kamaraj University Act, 1965 (Tamil Nadu Act 33 of
1965), as amended by the Tamil Nadu Universities Laws (Amendment) Act, 2022 (Tamil Nadu Act 16 of 2025),
the Governor of Tamil Nadu hereby makes the following amendments to the Higher Education Department Notification
No. II (2)/HE/41(d)/2025, published at pages 1 and 2 of Part II—Section 2 of the Tamil Nadu Government Gazette,
Extraordinary, dated the 10th January, 2025, namely: -
Amendments.
In the said Notification, --
(1) in the first paragraph, the expression “to the Hon’ble Governor-Chancellor”, shall be omitted;
(2) para 3 shall be omitted;
(3) in para 4, for the expression “to the Hon’ble Governor-Chancellor of Madurai Kamaraj University”, the
expression “to the Government” shall be substituted.

Under sub-section (2) of Section 9 of the Annamalai University Act, 2013 (Tamil Nadu Act 20 of 2013), as
amended by the Tamil Nadu Universities Laws (Amendment) Act, 2022 (Tamil Nadu Act 16 of 2025), the Governor
of Tamil Nadu hereby makes the following amendments to the Higher Education Department Notification No. II (2)/
HE/1148(c)/2024, published at pages 1 and 2 of Part II—Section 2 of the Tamil Nadu Government Gazette, Extraordinary,
dated the 9th December, 2024, namely :-
Amendments.
In the said Notification, --
(1) in the first paragraph, the expression “to the Hon’ble Governor-Chancellor”, shall be omitted;
(2) para 2 shall be omitted;
(3) in para 3, for the expression “to the Hon’ble Governor-Chancellor of Annamalai University, Chidambaram”,
the expression “to the Government” shall be substituted.

(Tamil Nadu Act 33 of 2008), as amended by the Tamil Nadu Universities Laws (Amendment) Act, 2022
(Tamil Nadu Act 16 of 2025), the Governor of Tamil Nadu hereby makes the following amendments to the Higher
Education Department Notification No. II (2)/HE/811(b)/2022, published at pages 1 and 2 of Part II—Section 2 of the
Tamil Nadu Government Gazette, Extraordinary, dated the 19th October, 2022, namely :-
Amendments.
In the said Notification, --
(1) in the first paragraph,-
(a) the expression “to the Hon’ble Governor-Chancellor”, shall be omitted;
(b) in the tabular column, in the third column, against serial number 1 in the first column, for the expression
“Chancellor’s Nominee / Convenor”, the expression “Chancellor’s Nominee / Member” shall be substituted;
(2) in para 2, for the expression “to the Chancellor of Tamil Nadu Teachers Education University”, the expression
