Amendments to the Tamil Nadu Prohibition Act

Amendments to the Tamil Nadu Prohibition Act.

[G.O. Ms. No. 84, Home, Prohibition and Excise (III-1), 20th August 2025,

ஆவணி 4, விசுவாவசு, திருவள்ளுவர் ஆண்டு - 2056.]

No. II(1)/HOPE/26/2025.—In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of Section 18-B of the Tamil Nadu

Prohibition Act, 1937 (Tamil Nadu Act X of 1937), the Governor of Tamil Nadu hereby makes the following amendment to

the Prohibition and Excise Department Notification No.II(1)/PE/239(d)/81, published at page 2 of Part II—Section 1 of the

Tamil Nadu Government Gazette Extraordinary, dated the 1st May 1981, as subsequently amended:-

Amendments.

In the said Notification, in the TABLE, in the Annexure, under the entry “Indian Made Foreign Spirits (brand names of

which are specified in the Annexure) other than sacramental wine’’ in column(1).-

(1) under the heading “ORDINARY BRANDS’’, under the sub-heading “Thiruvalargal Accord Distillers & Brewers

Private Limited’’, the entry “Honiey Day Super Fine Whisky’’ shall be omitted.

(2) under the heading “MEDIUM BRANDS’’, under the sub-heading “Thiruvalargal Accord Distillers & Brewers

Private Limited’’, the entry “Accord No. 1 Blended Whisky’’ shall be omitted.

(3) under the heading “PREMIUM BRANDS’’, under the sub-heading “Thiruvalargal Accord Distillers & Brewers

Private Limited’’, the following entries shall be omitted, namely:-

“Missionary Monks Authentic Pure XO Brandy’’

and “Wonderland Special VSOP Brandy’’.
