Every person appointed as Assistant Geologist in Department of Geology and Mining, among other tests, within

the period of probation, shall pass the following Tests:-

1. Mines and Minerals (Development and Regulation) Act, 1957 as amended by the Mines and Minerals

(Development and Regulation) Act, 2021.

2. The Minerals (Other than Atomic and Hydro Carbons Energy Minerals) Concession Rules, 2016.

Tests shall be on the above Acts and Rules including amendments from time to time.

(iii) 45% of marks is fixed as the pass mark for each of the above test.

(iv) All the three tests will be conducted under descriptive mode and will be having 12 questions for which the

candidates have to answer 10 questions in about 200 words and each question carries 10 marks.

(v) The duration of each examination is 2.30 hours.
