ACQUISITION OF LANDS
NOTICE UNDER SUB - SECTION 1 OF SECTION 15 OF THE TAMIL NADU HIGHWAYS ACT 2001

The Government of Tamil Nadu having been satisfied that the lands specified in the schedule below have to be
acquired for the Highways and Minor Ports Department to form Service Road on the right side of Road Over Bridge
in Tiruchendur – Ambasamudram Road (SH 40-1) in Veeramanickam and Nallur Villages of Tiruchendur Taluk,
Thoothukudi District and it having already been decided that the amount of compensation to be awarded for land is to be
paid out of the funds controlled and managed by State Highways Department, after having considering the cause shown
by the owner or other persons having interest on such lands if any, as the case may be do hereby publish the following
notice under sub-section 1 of Section 15 of the Tamil Nadu Highways Act 2001 (Tamil Nadu Act No. 34 of 2002).
NOTICE
Under sub-section 1 of section 15 of the Tamil Nadu Highways Act 2001 (Tamil Nadu Act 34 of 2002), the Governor
of Tamil Nadu hereby acquires the lands specified in the schedule below and measuring the total extent of 1065 Sq. mtrs.,
of Wet & Dry lands in S.No.62/1B, and etc., an extent of 337 Sq. mtrs., in Veeramanickam Village and S.No.269/3A1,
and etc., an extent of 728 Sq. mtrs., in Nallur Village to the same, a little more or less needed for Highways purpose,
to wit to form Service Road on the right side of Road Over Bridge in Tiruchendur – Ambasamudram Road (SH 40-1) in
Veeramanickam and Nallur Villages of Tiruchendur Taluk, Thoothukudi District.
The plan of the lands is kept in the Office of the Special District Revenue Officer (LA), Highways, Thoothukudi and
the Special Tahsildar (LA), Highways Unit-1, Thoothukudi may be inspected on any day during office hours.
