In exercise of the powers conferred under clause (d) of sub-section (2) of section 3 of the Tamil Nadu Urban

Local Bodies Act, 1998 (Tamil Nadu Act 9 of 1999), the Governor of Tamil Nadu, after considering the objections and

recommendations received, hereby declares the constitution of the entire local areas comprised in the Ponnamaravathi

Town Panchayat as the Ponnamaravathi Municipal Council, the intention of the same having been previously published,

as required under sub-section (1-A) of the section 3 of the said Act.

Based on the above constitution, wards will be divided for the next General election
