No.II(2)/CTR/389/2026.—In exercise of the powers
conferred by clause (b) of sub-section (1) of section 9 of
the Indian Stamp Act, 1899 (Central Act II of 1899), the
Governor of Tamil Nadu hereby provides for the payment
of the consolidated stamp duty of Rs.1,25,000/- (Rupees
One Lakh Twenty Five Thousand Only) chargeable under
the said Act in respect of issue of insurance policies by
the National Insurance Company Limited, Regional Office,
Coimbatore for the period from 01.04.2026 to 30.09.2026.

Amendments to Notification

(J1), 17th April 2026, சித்திரைை 4, பராபவ, திருவள்ளுவர்
ஆண்டு-2057.]
No.II(2)/CTR/390/2026.—In exercise of the powers
conferred by clause (b) of sub-section (1) of section 9
of the Indian Stamp Act, 1899 (Central Act II of 1899),
the Governor of Tamil Nadu hereby makes the following
amendment to the Notification No.II(2)/CTR/1281/2025
published in page 870 of Part II—Section 2 of the
Tamil Nadu Government Gazette No.49, dated 10.12.2025:-
Amendments.
a) For the expression "Rs.32,00,000/- (Rupees Thirty
Two Lakh Only)" appearing in the said notification,
the expression "Rs.44,00,000/- (Rupees Forty Four
Lakh Only)" shall be substituted.
b) For the expression "31.03.2026" appearing in the
said notification, the expression, "30.06.2026", shall
be substituted.

(Rupees Three Lakh Only) chargeable under the said Act
in respect of issue of insurance policies by the New India
Assurance Company Limited, Regional Office, Madurai for
the period from 01.04.2026 to 30.09.2026.

No.II(2)/CTR/392/2026.—In exercise of the powers
conferred by clause (b) of sub-section (1) of section 9
of the Indian Stamp Act, 1899 (Central Act II of 1899),
the Governor of Tamil Nadu hereby makes the following
amendment to the Notification No.II(2)/CTR/930/2025
published in page 568 of Part II—Section 2 of the
Tamil Nadu Government Gazette No.35, dated 03.09.2025:-
Amendment.
For
the
expression
"Rs.30,00,000/-
(Rupees
Thirty Lakh Only)" appearing in the said notification the
expression "Rs.60,00,000/- (Rupees Sixty Lakh Only)"
shall be substituted.

of the Indian Stamp Act, 1899 (Central Act II of 1899),
the Governor of Tamil Nadu hereby provides for the
payment of the consolidated stamp duty of Rs.50,00,000/-
(Rupees Fifty Lakh Only) chargeable under the said Act in
respect of issue of insurance policies by all the branches
under Coimbatore Division of the Life Insurance Corporation
of India, New Business Department, Coimbatore for the
period from 01.01.2026 to 31.03.2026.

No.II(2)/CTR/396/2026.—In exercise of the powers
conferred by clause (b) of sub-section (1) of section 9
of the Indian Stamp Act, 1899 (Central Act II of 1899),
the Governor of Tamil Nadu hereby makes the following
amendment to the Notification No.II(2)/CTR/994/2023
published in page 704 of Part II—Section 2 of the
Tamil Nadu Government Gazette No.47, dated 29.11.2023:-
Amendments.
a) For the expression "Rs.1,40,00,000/- (Rupees
One Crore and Forty Lakh Only)" appearing in the
said notification, the expression "Rs.1,50,00,000/-
(Rupees One Crore and Fifty Lakh Only)" shall be
substituted.
b) For the expression "31st March, 2026" appearing in
the said notification, the expression, "31st March,
2027", shall be substituted.

No.II(2)/HO/398/2026.—In
exercise
of
the
powers
conferred by section 3 of the Tamil Nadu Civil Courts
Act, 1873 (Central Act III of 1873), the Governor of
Tamil Nadu, hereby alters the number of District Courts to
be established under the said Act for Pudukkottai District
as Six with effect from the date on which the District Judge
assumes charge of the Motor Accident Claims Tribunal at
Pudukkottai.

conferred by section 5 of the Tamil Nadu Civil Courts Act,
1873 (Central Act III of 1873), the Governor of Tamil Nadu,
hereby fixes Pudukkottai as the place at which the Motor
Accident Claims Tribunal shall be held.

No.II(2)/HO/400/2026.—In exercise of the powers
conferred by section 10 of the Tamil Nadu Civil Courts
Act, 1873 (Central Act III of 1873), the Governor of
Tamil Nadu, hereby fixes the entire Pudukkottai District
as the local limits of the jurisdiction of the Motor Accident
Claims Tribunal in the cadre of District Judge at Pudukkottai
for trial of MCOP cases.

Order:- No. 54, Home (Police-XIX) dated 16th April 2026.
WHEREAS, complaints have been received from a
number of depositors that Messrs Global Gold Traders,
Chennai District, a financial establishment, has defaulted
the return of deposits made by the depositors after maturity;
AND WHEREAS, the Government are satisfied that
the said financial establishment is not likely to return the
deposits to the depositors and hence, the Government
have to protect the interests of such depositors;
AND WHEREAS, the immovable properties specified
in the Schedule to this order are alleged to have been
procured by the said financial establishment from and out
of the deposits collected from the depositors;
NOW, THEREFORE, in exercise of the powers
conferred by section 3 of the Tamil Nadu Protection of
Interests of Depositors (in Financial Establishments)
Act, 1997 (Tamil Nadu Act 44 of 1997), the Governor of
Tamil Nadu, hereby, makes an ad-interim order attaching
the immovable properties of the financial establishment
Messrs Global Gold Traders, functioned at No.5,
Sathyamoorthy Colony, Anna Nagar, Chennai-600040, as
specified in the Schedule to this order and transfers the
control over the properties to the Competent Authority,
namely, the Competent Authority /District Revenue Officer,
Chennai District, appointed under the said Act.
2. The Competent Authority / District Revenue
Officer, Chennai District, is requested to pursue further
action in accordance with the procedure laid down in
sub-sections (3) and (4) of section 4 of the said Act and
also the formalities prescribed in the Tamil Nadu Protection
of Interests of Depositors (in Financial Establishments)
Rules, 1997.
3. The District Revenue Officer, the Nilgiris District is
requested to render necessary assistance in attachment
process on the properties located in their district, which is
attached in the Schedule to this order, to the Competent
Authority / District Revenue Officer, Chennai District.
4. The Special Public Prosecutor, Special Court for
the Tamil Nadu Protection of Interests of Depositors (in
Financial Establishments) Act, 1997, Chennai is requested
to render necessary assistance to the Competent Authority /
District Revenue Officer, Chennai District in filing the
application before the Special Court constituted under the
said Act.
