Whereas, Tmt. K. Maragatham Kumaravel, a Member of the Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly, representing

the 35. Madurantakam (SC) Assembly Constituency, in her letter dated 25th May, 2026 addressed to me as

Speaker of the Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly, has resigned her seat as Member of the Tamil Nadu Legislative

Assembly with effect from 25th May, 2026.

Now, therefore, I, J.C.D. PRABHAKAR, Speaker of the Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly hereby accept

the resignation of Tmt. K. Maragatham Kumaravel, as envisaged under Rule 22 of the Tamil Nadu Legislative

Assembly Rules as it is in accordance with Rule 21 of the Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly Rules. Under Article

190 (3)  (b) of the Constitution of India, her seat has, therefore, become vacant with effect from 25th May, 2026.
