of the consolidated stamp duty of Rs.10,00,000/- (Rupees

Ten Lakhd Only) chargeable under the said Act in respect

of issue of insurance policies by the New India Assurance

Company Limited, Regional Office, Coimbatore for the

period from 01.04.2026 to 31.03.2027

conferred by clause (b) of sub-section (1) of section 9

of the Indian Stamp Act, 1899 (Central Act II of 1899),

the Governor of Tamil Nadu hereby makes the following

amendment to the Notification No.II(2)/CTR/1211/2025

published in page 786 of Part II —Section 2 of the

Tamil Nadu Government Gazette No.46, dated 19.11.2025:-

Amendments.

(a) For the expression "30.04.2026" appearing in the

said notification, the expression, "31.08.2026," shall be

substituted.

(b) For the expression "Rs.9,20,00,000/- (Rupees

Nine Crore and Twenty Lakh Only)" appearing in the said

notification, the expression "Rs.10,70,00,000/- (Rupees

Ten Crore and Seventy Lakh Only)" shall be substituted.

Order:- No. 60, Home (Police - XIX), dated 17th April 2026.

WHEREAS, complaints have been received from a

number of depositors that Messrs Thiripura Chits Private

Limited, Chennai District, a financial establishment, has

defaulted the return of deposits made by the depositors

after maturity;

AND WHEREAS, the Government are satisfied that

the said financial establishment is not likely to return the

deposits to the depositors and hence, the Government

have to protect the interests of such depositors;

AND WHEREAS, in addition to the movable/

immovable

properties

ad-interimly

attached

the

Government Orders first to third read above, the movable

and immovable properties specified in the Schedule

to this Order are alleged to have been procured by the

said financial establishment from and out of the deposits

collected from the depositors;

NOW, THEREFORE, in exercise of the powers

conferred by section 3 of the Tamil Nadu Protection of

Interests of Depositors (in Financial Establishments)

Act, 1997 (Tamil Nadu Act 44 of 1997), the Governor of

Tamil Nadu, hereby, makes an ad-interim order attaching

the movable properties (The chit security deposits amount

including the interest accrued till the time of sale order

issued by the TNPID Court) and immovable properties of

the defaulted financial establishment, Messrs Thiripura

Chits Private Limited, functioned at Door No.36, Jeenis

road, 2nd floor, Saidapet, Chennai-15, as specified in the

Schedule to this Order and transfers the control over them

to the Competent Authority/ Superintendent of Police,

Headquarters, Economic Offences Wing, appointed under

the said Act.

2. The Competent Authority/Superintendent of Police,

Headquarters, Economic Offences Wing, is requested to

pursue further action in accordance with the procedure

laid down in sub-sections (3) and (4) of section 4 of

the said Act and also the formalities prescribed in the

Tamil Nadu Protection of Interests of Depositors (in

Financial Establishments) Rules, 1997.

3. The District Revenue Officer, Chennai is requested

to render necessary assistance in attachment process on

the immovable properties located in their district, which are

attached in the Schedule to this order, to the Competent

Authority/Superintendent

Police,

Headquarters,

Economic Offences Wing.

4. The Special Public Prosecutor, Special Court for

the Tamil Nadu Protection of Interests of Depositors (in

Financial Establishments) Act, 1997, Chennai is requested

to render necessary assistance to the Competent Authority /

Offences Wing, in filing the application before the Special

Court constituted under the said Act.
