AMENDMENT TO RULE 185 OF TELANGANA MOTOR VEHICLE

RULES, 1989-REGISTRATION OF MOTOR TRANSPORT

UNDERTAKINGS UNDER MOTOR TRANSPORT WORKERS ACT,

1961.

PRELIMINARY NOTIFICATION

The following draft amendment to the Telangana Motor Vehicles Rules,

1989 issued in G.O.Ms.No.216, TR&B (Tr.I) Department, dated:

07-08-1989, which it is proposed to be made in exercise of powers conferred

R.N.I.No.TELMUL/2016/73158. [Price : `. 3-00.

by Section 96 of the M.V. Act, 1988 (Central Act 59 of 1988) is hereby

published in Telangana Gazette for the general information of the public as

required by sub-section (1) of Section 212 of the said Act, 1988.

Notice is hereby given that the said amendment shall be taken into

consideration by the Government after expiry of a period of ten (10) days

from the date of the publication of this notification in the Telangana Gazette

and any objections or suggestions which may be received by the Government

from any person with respect to the said draft amendment before the expiry

of the period specified will be taken into consideration by the Government

of Telangana.

The objections and suggestions should be addressed to the Principal

Secretary to Government, Transport, Roads & Buildings Department, 'A'

block, 4th Floor, Telangana Secretariat, Hyderabad.

AMENDMENT

In the said rules, after sub-clause (xvi) of clause (a) of sub-rule (1)

of Rule 185, the following shall be inserted, namely:-

(xvi) A: "The Permit Holder, if coming under the definition of a Motor

Transport Undertaking, shall get the Motor Transport Undertaking registered

under the Motor Transport Workers Act, 1961".
