PROHIBITION OF STRIKES IN ALL SERVICES IN NATIONAL THERMAL POWER

CORPORATION LIMITED IN TELANGANA STATE UNDER THE PROVISIONS OF THE

TELANGANA ESSENTIAL SERVICES MAINTENANCE ACT, 1971 (ACT 20 OF 1971)

FOR A FURTHER PERIOD OF (6) MONTHS WITH EFFECT FROM 20.07.2018.

Whereas, orders were issued in G.O.Rt.No. 9, Energy Department, Date: 15.2.2018, declaring any service

in National Thermal Power Corporation Limited in Telangana State as an essential service under the provisions of

the Andhra Pradesh Essential Services Maintenance Act, 1971, (A.P. Act No. 20 of 1971) (adopted for the State

of Telangana).

And whereas, the Government is satisfied that it is necessary and expendient to prohibit strikes in public

interest in any services in NTPC Limited in Telangana State for a further period of six (6) months w.e.f. 20.7.2018.

Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-sections (1) & (3) of Section 3 of the Telangana

Essential Services Maintenance Act, 1971 (Act 20 of 1971), Government of Telangana hereby prohibits strikes in

all the services under the NTPC Limited for a further period of six (6) months with effect from 20.7.2018.
